Now calling the stunning 7 mile beaches of Lake Cathie on the NSW Mid North Coast out home; our Collies run free with lots of fresh air and sunshine and pristine coastal landscapes to bound around in a happy and well-adjusted lifestyle

From strong rural roots in New Zealand, to many years of intrepid travel abroad, the eventual settling in Australia marked the start of a new chapter; the birth of a dream realised.

In a bid to improve the phenotype, genetic diversity, and overall health in the breed at that time, it became apparent that we needed to cast our eyes overseas. The successful injection of renown USA blood from our first imports set our vision on an upward trajectory.

Not wanting to just breed dogs, we wanted to create a family of dogs.
Generations of the judicious blending between America's finest Collie pedigrees, with the cream of Australia's crop helped us establish a look that was unmistakably Vedamea.
